This fine-toothed Dovetail saw is designed for delicate and precise tasks, ideal for model building, instrument work, picture framing, and other detailed applications. The blade is thin and finely toothed, ensuring clean and accurate cuts with minimal effort.
Pull-cut system: The Dovetail Japansäge operates on a pull-cut mechanism, unlike Western saws that use push motions. This pull action provides more control and allows for smoother, more precise cuts. The extremely thin and flexible blade allows for fine and accurate cuts.
Blade: Compared to European saw blades, the Dovetail saw's blade is thinner and more flexible, resulting in cleaner and more efficient cuts. The blade requires minimal force, and the fine teeth prevent the blade from binding during cuts. It’s made from high-quality carbon steel with a chrome-plated surface. The teeth are electronically impulse-hardened, promising a longer lifespan.
Special tooth geometry: The "SHARK" tooth design features three sharp cutting edges, diamond-sharpened to minimize the risk of frayed edges. The 22 teeth per inch provide a very fine tooth configuration ideal for delicate tasks. The finer the task, the finer the teeth should be.
