The Gyokucho 651 Blue Hard Komame 240 is a Japanese Ryoba saw featuring an ultra-fine 20 TPI tooth pattern, specifically designed for precise woodworking and exceptionally clean cuts. The blade is double-edged, with one side dedicated to crosscuts and the other to rip cuts.
This saw is ideal for hardwood, fine woods, panel materials like thin MDF and plywood, as well as delicate plastics. It’s perfect for furniture makers, interior designers, restorers, and anyone seeking the highest precision in woodworking.
Compared to the Gyokucho Seiun Saku saws, the Gyokucho Blue Hard has a narrower blade, allowing for easier and more comfortable handling.
The traditional wooden handle is elegantly wrapped in rattan, and the blade can be easily replaced. The teeth are hardened to a surface hardness of 68 to 71 HRC, making them exceptionally durable and robust—a key factor in the saw’s high-quality cutting performance.
A durable plastic tooth guard is included for added protection.
