FAMEX 5505 Japanese Saw - Carpenter - 300 mm

The FAMEX 5505 carpenter's saw belongs to the Kataba saw family, one of the most popular types of hand saws. Widely used in traditional Japanese carpentry, this saw is ideal for separation and miter cutting. The blade is highly flexible and toothed on one side, making it versatile and efficient.

The Pull-Cut System

Unlike Western saws, which operate on a push motion, our carpenter's saw works on a pull motion. This approach enables precise and controlled cuts. It is particularly well-suited for creating contact surfaces when cutting miters, scarf joints, or crafting steps for overlapping joints.

The Blade

The blade is significantly thinner and more flexible than those of Western saws, allowing for fast and clean cuts with less effort. Its flexibility enables flush cutting, making it easy to remove protruding workpieces with precision. Crafted from high-quality carbon steel and featuring a chrome-plated finish, the blade is highly durable. The teeth are electronically impulse-hardened, ensuring a longer service life.

Special Tooth Design
