Our FAMEX 5507 Japanese Dozuki Saw is designed for finer tasks. This saw is ideal for the most delicate cutting applications, including separation and miter cuts. The reinforced back gives the user greater control over the ultra-thin blade. While the cutting depth is limited due to the back reinforcement, it allows for extremely precise and thin cuts. This saw is often used for perfectly fitting joints, such as in picture frames.
The Pull-Cut System
The Dozuki saw operates on pull motions, unlike Western saws, which are used with push motions. The back reinforcement provides extra control, making it perfect for achieving fine and thin cuts during precision woodworking tasks.
The Blade
Compared to European saw blades, our Dozuki blade is significantly thinner and more flexible. The ultra-thin blade enables clean, quick, and efficient cuts with minimal effort. Made from high-quality carbon steel with a chrome-plated surface, the blade is durable and reliable. The electronically impulse-hardened teeth ensure a longer lifespan.
Special Tooth Design
The unique "SHARK" tooth design features three cutting edges that are exceptionally sharp due to diamond-ground tips. This design significantly reduces the risk of frayed edges, minimizing or eliminating the need for post-processing. The fine-tooth configuration, with 19 teeth per inch (TPI), ensures precise and delicate cuts.
Pro tip: The finer the task, the finer the tooth configuration should be.
